Bonsai Workshop 11/5

  • Paiko 675 Auahi Street Honolulu, HI, 96813 United States (map)

Bonsai, in general, symbolize harmony, peace, order of thoughts, balance and a celebration of nature. An ornamental tree or shrub is grown in a pot and artificially prevented from reaching its normal size. Taught by Larry Ganiron, @soulsteady, this class will provide an introduction to the art of bonsai. We'll cover a brief history of the art and an overview on how to prune, shape, and style your tree. You'll go home with a medium-sized juniper, established in a bonsai training pot, that we'll help you envision and create in class! All materials will be provided and you will leave with bonsai shears and wire to further your practice and begin a journey of creating more of these living sculptures.

Note: Minimum to hold a workshop is 5 guests. If the minimum is not met, we will notify you one day prior and refund the workshop fee. Mahalo for your understanding!
